PNP Seminar

This course is about the relations between emotion and perception. We will explore how our emotions are related to what we see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. Questions likely to be discussed include: How do we detect one another's emotions? Are emotions non-sensory perceptions of value? How is emotion related to cognitive states like belief and desire? Is there an emotional aspect of sensory perception? Can emotions affect the way the environment appears?" Prerequisite: PNP major in second semester Junior or Senior standing with a 300-level course in philosophy or PNP, graduate standing or the permission of the instructor.
